It's been awhile hasn't it?

Friends, Romans, countrymen...lend me your eyes. A lot has happened since last we spoke. Most importantly, I now have a lifelong companion! About three weeks ago, Jessica and I made our vows in front of God and many loved ones. It was a wonderful day that capped off a truly wonderful week. And surprisingly, I didn't cry nearly as much as I anticipated. Don't get me wrong, I cried a ton...but that is why we have handkerchiefs. I think my wife and I would both agree that the ceremony was stunning. We were both surprised with music that was not planned by either of us. That Pastor Blanco is always scheming. It was brilliant, magical, worshipful, lovely...perfect. I won't forget that day for the rest of my life. The reception was an outright dance party, which was right up my alley. Special thanks to Nick Lee and Michael Palomaki for putting together the perfect dance mix. I guess there was even an after party once the reception was over.

In other news, Jessica and I went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for our honeymoon. It was just what the doctor ordered after the wedding festivities. As a matter of fact, I think everyone who gets married owes it to themselves to go away somewhere for a week. There is nothing like waking up everyday at noon, going to the beach, and going out to dinner every night. Here's to you "inventor of the honeymoon". It was also nice to meet up with my uncle down there towards the end of the trip. He showed us many incredible sights and even took us down to Miami before we left. We look forward to a return trip at some point.

We eventually made our way back to Seward to begin "real life" as a married couple. It took a while to get completely settled (we still aren't totally finished), but the house is looking more and more like a home by the day. Our schedules are beginning fill as the weeks go on. I am student teaching now and Jessica is kindergarten aiding at St. John (and accompanying you choir, giving piano lessons, playing at a church in lincoln, and being a wonderful wife). I am very excited to start our life together here in Seward where we have such a strong support system. Hopefully a teaching call is extended out way in the coming year, but we will make the most of the opportunities that God presents to us here in this town. Here we go! This is gonna be a wild ride. Cheers!

p.s.- Thanks to everyone who made our wedding day so special. The prayers, well wishes, and everything else mean so much to us and we would not trade friends and family like you for anything. God bless
